It’s really not long until Dr. Ben Seong step into the Quantum Leap accelerator… and vanishes.
The beloved 1980s/90s time travel show, Quantum Leap, which aired on NBC in the US is being revived for a new generation.
Rather than a reboot though, this new series promises to continue the original story with a new leaper, Dr. Ben Seong, who seeks to discover whatever happened to Sam Beckett. The new show also has a strap line, or is that a mission statement… “Time to remake history”.
We’ve been following developments for a while, but the show is now imminent, launching in the US on September 19th.
It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it.
In the briefest of promos, via The Quantum Leap Podcast‘s twitter feed, we’ve been granted a first look at the new Leaper arriving into a pretty dangerous situation.

The show’s production has endured well publicised ups and downs, with a new showrunner being brought in, but we remain hopeful.
There’s still no definite confirmation of a UK broadcaster. However, our fingers remain crossed for Peacock (whose content is available via Sky). Of course, we’ll keep you posted.
