As we get closer to the launch of Diabolical, Prime Video have dropped a teaser to announces some of vocal talent involved. As ever, its an in-universe piece – for ‘Vought-A-Burger’ – and  in keeping with the show’s, ahem, more mature style. Actually, it’s mainly just gross…

Ending with a clutch of high-profile names, we spotted Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Isaacs, Kieran Culkin, Elizabeth Shue, Christian Slater, Kevin Smith and Simon Pegg. That’s in addition to some of the names already announced as writing the eight episodes.

While the third series of the ‘adult’ superhero series is not due until June, there’s an bite-sized spin-off coming to fill the gap. The Boys Presents: Diabolical promises to reveal unseen stories from The Boys universe.

Although news of the animated show only dropped in December, Prime Video have just dropped a first look teaser.

As you might expect, with a show which executive producer Eric Kripke has described as “… eight completely unexpected, funny, shocking, gory, moist, emotional episodes”, the clip might not be suitable for work.

Laser Baby

Consisting of “fun-sized” episodes, running from 12 – 14 minutes, each instalment of Diabolical has its own animation style; Laser Baby appears to channelling some classic Looney Tunes vibes.

The stories are created by Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, and Aisha Tyler.

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is coming to Prime Video on the 4th of March 2022.
