This Sunday sees the debut of Sinbad, Sky1’s biggest ever British commission – and their most expensive show to date.
ITV1 has revealed the official synopsis for Broadchurch, a new drama series starring Doctor Who‘s David Tennant and Arthur Darvill.

Sky1 has announced that new epic fantasy drama Sinbad will start airing on the channel in the second week of July.
What was it about?
A novel blend of police procedural and time travel drama, BBC One’s Crime Traveller saw Detective Jeff Slade and police science officer Holly Turner solve crimes and catch the bad guys using Holly’s time machine (a futuristic desk, basically). Written by author and script writer Anthony Horowitz (the Alex Rider books, Foyle’s War), you can pretty much sum up the entire premise of the show as ‘Wibbly-wobbly, Crimey-wimey’.
Dominic Savage’s series of semi-connected, partially-improvised dramas continues with an appearance by Doctor Who star Billie Piper as a teacher who falls in love with one of her pupils.
