An adaptation is always going to differ from its source material. Deal with it. A play can’t be the book, and neither can a movie; what’s necessary is to capture the mood and essence of the story and transplant it to a different medium.

Why are a lot of the shows that you cover not really cult TV?

Unfortunately, a lot of the British cult TV shows that were around when we started (and named the site!) are no longer being made: Being Human, Primeval, Misfits, Bedlam, Torchwood, Merlin, etc. As a result, we’ve expanded to cover a wider range of British TV drama and comedy series.

Lara Pulver (‘Fleming’) interview

Sherlock’s Lara Pulver plays the future Mrs Fleming, Lady Ann O’Neill in Sky Atlantic’s new four-part drama about the life of Ian Fleming, which follows the James Bond author (Dominic Cooper) from underachieving playboy to key figure in the Admiralty, drawing parallels between the writer and his iconic creation.
