‘Doctor Who’ returns to ‘Blink’ location for Season 10 episode

Alternate ending for Blink

The second block of filming for the new season of Doctor Who continues this week.

Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, who play the Twelfth Doctor and new companion Bill, were spotted on location today in Newport shooting scenes for what is believed to be Episode 4, written by Doctor Foster creator Mike Bartlett.

The pair were seen filming outside Fields House, which was previously used in ‘Blink’. Could the episode be a sequel to Steven Moffat’s 2007 story?

The location has also appeared in ‘The Snowmen’ and Fields Park Avenue was used in the first episode of Torchwood: Children of Earth.

Several photos of today’s filming have been posted by fans on Twitter.

Block 2 is directed by Bill Anderson and also includes an episode written by Sarah Dollard (‘Face the Raven’).

Pearl Mackie has teased: “Amazing read through for Block 2 of @bbcdoctorwho last night! Excellent scripts and wonderful cast! Can’t wait.”

Season 10 began filming in Cardiff in June and will air on BBC One in spring 2017.

Returning to BLINk is only really interesting if David Tennant is in it. That was the last time the Weeping Angels were scary.
