The BBC adds Chucklevision to iPlayer, as tribute to Barry Chuckle

Over the weekend came the tragic news that Barry Chuckle, one half of the legendary Chuckle Brothers, had died. He was 73 years old, and the outpouring of affection is testament to how much fun he and his brother had given the world.

The Chuckle Brothers, of course, were staples of BBC children’s television through the show ChuckleVision, that ran for over 20 years before coming to an end in 2009. And in response to an inundation of request to make the show available again, the BBC has made the final series of ChuckleVision in full available on the iPlayer service.

“Barry was loved by both the audience and his colleagues at BBC Children’s. He’ll be sorely missed by all who knew him. We hope by making the final ever series of ChuckleVision available that viewers old and new can enjoy Barry and Paul’s unique brand of kids’ comedy”, said the director BBC Children’s Entertainment, Alice Webb.

The series is available on the service now.
