The surprise second series of the show, based on plans for a sequel novel, is arrives in Summer 2023.

While the stars of the upcoming Good Omens 2 weren’t available to attend the New York Comic Con last weekend, the video of their contribution has appeared on YouTube.

It provides some fun interplay between Michael Sheen (Aziraphale) and David Tennant (Crowley), both apparently told they are the star. It’s much in the vein of their onscreen rivalry from Staged. Of course, the pair are then thoroughly put out by the arrival of a bona fide star, Jon Hamm – who again reprises his role as Gabriel in the series.

The trio briefly discuss how they found out about a second series and whether they were fans of the book. It’s spoiler free though, thanks to a convenient connection issue as Jon Hamm starts talking about a scene.

The show has also gained a new promotional poster and a tag line: “Something’s going down in the up”

As we said, Good Omens 2 will come to Prime Video in Summer 2023.
