A new image from the first episode of Doctor Who Series 11 turned up in the Mirror in an interview with Bradley Walsh.
The photo, found exclusively in the Mirror so far, can be found at the end of the article. It appears to be a production still taken at filming at the HTC Plant in Sheffield on November 21 of last year. It features four people known to appear in the series premiere, The Woman Who Fell to Earth; Sharon D. Clarke as Graham O’Brien’s wife Grace, Mandip Gill as PC Yasmin (Yaz) Khan, Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, Tosin Cole as Ryan Sinclair and Bradley Walsh as Graham O’Brien. The five are pictured peering through a seemingly melted hole in a fence on the industrial site.
In the interview, Bradley Walsh praised Jodie Whittaker:
“If there are any Doctor Who fans out there, Jodie is magnificent. It was unbelievable. It is really big stuff and they have gone for it.”
Last year, when showrunner Chris Chibnall told Walsh he wanted him for Doctor Who, he did not him who would play the Doctor.
“We can’t tell you but we want you to do it. Trust us. Trust us. It will be an unbelievable journey.”
“I’m in. A leap of faith. Why not?” was Bradley Walsh’s reply.
The result of Walsh’s leap of faith, The Woman Who Fell to Earth, will have its worldwide on television premiere on Sunday, October 7.
