Audio producers Big Finish have announced another of their ‘Big Finish in Conversation’ interviews, where one of their stars sits down for an in-depth chat.

Joining producer/director Scott Handcock, Sir Derek Jacobi will discuss his long and distinguished career of stage, screen and audio; from his beginnings with Sir Laurence Olivier as a founding member of the Royal National Theatre, right up to his recent recordings in Doctor Who spin-off The War Master and as Cole Hawlins in The Box of Delights.

Big Finish say: Best known to audiences around the globe for his portrayal of the titular Roman emperor in the BBC’s television adaptation of I, Claudius, Sir Derek’s Jacobi’s professional career has spanned over sixty years and myriad roles. In this candid conversation with producer Scott Handcock, Derek reminisces about his incredibly lucky life: from growing up during the war to tackling King Lear at the Donmar Warehouse… and much more.

I, Jacobi follows the pattern of similar releases such as This is Colin Baker, Carolyn Seymour in Conversation, Call me Jacks and Tom Baker at 80. The interview will have a duration of approx. 160 minutes and is scheduled for release in November 2021.
