Big Finish have released a trailer for the opening instalment of their new Torchwood audio series.

Torchwood: The Conspiracy features the return of John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness.

The official synopsis reads: “Captain Jack Harkness has always had his suspicions about the Committee. And now Wilson is also talking about the Committee. Apparently the world really is under the control of alien lizards. That’s what Wilson says. People have died, disasters have been staged, the suspicious have disappeared. It’s outrageous. Only Jack knows that Wilson is right. The Committee has arrived.”

Written by David Llewellyn, The Conspiracy also stars John Sessions, Sarah Ovens and Dan Bottomley.

It will be released in September, followed by more releases at monthly intervals through to February 2016.

The second story will feature the return of Gareth David-Lloyd as original Torchwood character Ianto Jones. Fall to Earth places Ianto on the first privately-funded spaceflight; just as it’s plunging out of the sky.
