New plot information about the new Doctor Who animated virtual reality adventure The Runaway, have emerged from the director Mathias Chelebourg in SFX magazine.
“…you wake up in the TARDIS with [the] Doctor and an unstable ball of energy called the Volta, who may explode at any minute, taking the universe with it.”
“[The Volta is] like living nitroglycerin and to make matters worse you’re being chased by a task force called the SPUDS [Special Positron Undercover Death Squad] who are trying to capture the creature. So You’re trying to calm the Volta down, get it home and trying to escape the spuds. It’s an action-packed chase scene.”
“At one point you need to pilot the TARDIS through a junk field while the Doctor builds an EMP. At another point she dumps a box of stuff in front of you and you must choose and item to calm the Volta down.”
Written by a known member of the Doctor Who Series 12 Writers Room Victoria Asare-Archer, The Runaway features the voices of Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor and Richard Elfyn.
