Marvel has released an official teaser trailer for Eternals — the excitement is building
There’s a new Marvel teaser trailer, and it’s for Eternals a big extension to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), due in cinemas in November.
While the MCU stage 4 is steaming ahead on Disney+ with WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and June’s Loki, there’s anther huge thread headed our way with Eternals.
Here’s the cryptic quote from the trailer:
“Throughout the years we have never interfered, until now.”
As the trailer makes clear, there’s a group (it looks like ten) of very advanced people who come to Earth (as they all do) a long time ago and stay out of the way. Fandom is riddled with questions about why they did nothing to avert Thanos in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, but we’ll have to trust this makes sense once we’ve seen the film. We do know the Eternals are motivated due to the arrival of The Deviants but let’s hope it’s more than just another CGI feast with the same story just the names changed.
The cast includes: Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) as Ikaris, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Angelina Jolie (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) as Thena, Don Lee (Things Don’t Stay Fixed) as Gilgamesh, Lauren Ridloff (The Walking Dead) as Makkari,
Kumail Nanjiani (The Lovebirds) as Kingo, Lia McHugh (The Lodge) as Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) as Phastos, Gemma Chan (Humans) as Sersi, Barry Keoghan (The Shadow of Violence) as Druig and (the only non-Eternal on this list) Kit Harington (Zog) as Dane Whitman.
You can see the teaser trailer now, and we’ll bring you more news as we get it. Expect at least one trailer nearer November.
