The Boys are back in town, dealing with a superpowered election.
Updated 07/04/23: The official Season 4 trailer lands…
With just over a month to go, Prime Video has dropped the full trailer for The Boys Season 4. It received its premiere at the inaugural CCXP (Comic Culture Experience) México last week.
Running to two and a half minutes, suffice to say this is incredibly NSFW; the trailer contains the usual mix of superpowered humour and gore, but it has seemingly gone up another blood-splattered notch.
While the villainous Supes concentrate their violent tactics on an election, Billy has a new and potentially devastating killer virus at his disposal, if the Boys have the stomach to use it…
The Boys Season 4 launches with a triple-episode premiere on Thursday, 13th June, followed by weekly releases to round out the 8 episode run.
Updated 27/02/23: Prime Video announce the launch date for Season 4 of The Boys.
It’s now confirmed that the diabolical drama about the superpowered ‘heroes’ of Vought Industries and the scrappy team of vigilantes hell bent on taking them down returns on Thursday, 13th June, 2024.
The fourth season begins by dropped a triple premiere. Five further episodes then land weekly, culminating in a season finale on Thursday, July 18th.
The news came with a new poster image for the show, showing Homelander (Antony Starr) seemingly on the campaign trail with Senator Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit).
A Love Letter to America
Vought international also treated us to an amusingly saccharine Superbowl advert this year too…
In related news, it’s believed that season 5 of the show is set to start filming in April – this is based on a report spotted on the Production List website.
A second season of the show’s teen sibling Gen V is already in the works and apparently, there’s also a Spanish language spin-off also in development too.
We’ll keep you posted on The Boys.

The Boys Season 4 – teaser trailer lands
Prime Video’s all powerful, deeply violent and thoroughly adult superhero series The Boys is preparing to return for its fourth season. While the show’s teen spinoff Gen V scored a swift recommission, it’s the turn of the main show to deliver the gory goods.
To build the anticipation, there’s now a suitably NSFW official teaser which introduces the show’s impending threat – Senator Victoria Neuman on the ticket as part of a Presidential bid. The teaser debuted at CCXP, Sau Paulo, the largest comic convention in the world.
Here’s what to expect in The Boys Season 4:
The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.
The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.
New additions to the cast this season include Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry.
Posters
To trumpet the show’s return, there are two new, contrasting posters. One featured a dejected Billy Butcher (Karl Urban)…
… while other shows a seemingly triumphant Homelander (Antony Starr).
There’s no start date for The Boys Season 4 yet – we imagine that might accompany another trailer, nearer the time. We’ll keep you posted.
