Here’s a look at what the main players of Torchwood have been up to since leaving the confines of the hub…
Alexa Havins
Shortly after saying goodbye to CIA analyst and secret Torchwood member, Esther Drummond, in 2011 Alexa Havins returned to her most famous role as Babe in US soap opera All My Children (which previously launched the career of Sarah Michelle Gellar) as the 31-year series finally ended.
Afterwards, she featured in several guest parts in various US shows such as Castle, The Astronaut Wives Club and Constantine.
Kai Owen
Having stayed with Torchwood as Gwen’s reliable fiancé-then-husband Rhys Williams from first episode ‘Everything Changes’ all the way to Miracle Day’s finale, you might think that Kai Owen would have a hard time shaking off such a loveable good guy character as Rhys.
However, this year he landed himself the very different role of Pete Buchanan in soap opera Hollyoaks, a rapist and paedophile.
He has also appeared in Waterloo Road, The Syndicate and Da Vinci’s Demons.
Tom Price
Just like Rhys, while never becoming an official member of the Torchwood team, PC Andy Davison was a valuable ally, always providing welcome comic relief as well as moments of bravery.
Actor Tom Price has also continued his long career of mostly comic roles since Miracle Day, including guest parts in Episodes, Count Arthur Strong and World Series of Dating as well as a recurring role in the third season of Sky1’s Stella (as another Andy!).
Away from acting, Tom Price is also a stand-up comedian, with two of his shows Say When and Not as Nice as He Looks receiving popular response from critics at the Edinburgh Festival in 2011 and 2014.
