Doc Martin, the GP with the bedside manner that even Dr Crippen would baulk at returned to ITV on Monday with a healthy 7.6m (32.6%).

The BAFTAs pulled in their highest ratings since 2004, with over 6 million viewers seeing Olivia Coleman scoop a double win, with a 25.5% share rating.
