After the impressive Dredd movie from 2012 failed to catch fire at the worldwide box office, it looks like the screen adventures of Judge Dredd were at an end (in spite of a determined campaign to get a cinematic sequel going).
The BBC continues to trawl formats now that it doesn’t have the rights to The Voice, and it’s decided to hand some cash to Paddy McGuinness. In exchange, McGuinness will be bringing his talents to a new talent show about tribute acts.
Sad news here. The much-loved sitcom Count Arthur Strong – from Steve Delaney and Graham Linehan – has come to an end. The BBC confirmed the news to the Radio Times, noting that there are “no current plans for a further series” at the corporation.
Jodie Whittaker is sort-of playing a doctor on our TV screens tonight in the new TV drama Trust Me, and so she’s been doing promotional work for it. In an interview on BBC 6 Music, the small matter of her upcoming stint as our favourite Time Lord of course came up.
